Urban farmers shared their enthusiasm for producing "food for others" in a segment of The Local Show on KCPT (Kansas City Public Television). 

The story focuses on the  Kansas City Center for Urban Agriculture, which develops training programs for new and experienced farmers and for individuals, organizations and communities interested in urban food production.  The center operates the Kansas City Community Farm, a working, certified organic vegetable farm, the Urban Farmer Development Program, and the Juniper Gardens Training Farm.
